Ferrite magnets are made mainly from Fe2O3 (iron oxide) and BaCO3 (barium carbonate) or SrCO3 (strontium carbonate). There are two types of ferrite magnet: the isotropic ferrite magnet, molded in the absence of magnetic field, and the anisotropic ferrite magnet, which have outstanding properties in the direction of the magnetic field.
